As the Infection spread from the depths, it seeped through the cracks in the seal, targeting the very souls that held it back. The Watchers fought valiantly against the corruption within themselves and without, but their strength eventually faded under the weight of the Radiance's influence. They became twisted reflections of their former selves, rising as Infected knights to attack anything that approached the breach. Their final stand was not against a monster from below, but against the Knight sent by the Pale King himself to finish what they could no longer complete.

In Their Own Story

The arena was silent save for the dripping water echoing off ancient stone walls. Three armored figures stood motionless before the void, their visors glowing with a sickly yellow light. The Knight approached slowly, nail drawn. With a synchronized clank of metal on stone, the Watchers lunged. There was no honor in their strike now, only the desperate thrashing of souls consumed by decay.
